An exceptionally complete Rolex Submariner Date 16800 from 1987 with an interesting history. This stainless steel workhorse comes straight from its first owner, a Dutch marine, who has used his Sub for what is was made for. He obviously hasn't spared it, but he did cherish his Rolex and has had it serviced every five to ten years. There is documentation of the 2004 and 2011 service. Through the years the dial, hands and bezel have been replaced. The watch case has been polished in the past and the bracelet shows considerable stretch. This proper tool watch comes with all boxes, booklets, seals, calendar, folder, translation, service documents, the original invoice and the original Rolex warranty certificate, stamped and dated in May 1987 at Schaap & Citroen's in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (LC 136). A great watch, a real collector's set with a unique provenance. The buyer will receive a photo of the mariner and his Submariner in action. That's a promise.
